His life was cut short in a tragic way at the age of 35. Despite being widely regarded as a “divine” genius, Mozart was a conductor, virtuoso pianist, organist, and violinist throughout his life. Mozart wrote 11 symphonies, concertos, chamber works, and other works before starting his opera career in 1897, among other works. It is named after Mozart, the composer and pianist Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart. Among his many works were 46 operas and an astonishing 500 concertos. Antonio Vivaldi, one of the most prominent Baroque composers, was an extremely productive composer. Learn more about some of these famous composers in the following paragraphs. Though they were different in many ways, both Vivaldi and Mozart were hugely successful in their time and remain two of the most beloved composers to this day.
